Despite the major struggles I went through in creating this site and my constant being unhappy with how I did this site I think I can finally be okay with it. I think it's just because this site is so different from what I usually do that I hated it a lot. I thought it was so bad, but strangely enough I seemed to be the only person who thought so. Either something is wrong with them or me. I'm not quite sure. Whichever it is though it was enough to convince myself to fix up my Link shrine and bring it back when I decided to close it. Now I don't think it's going anywhere and it's stuck forever. I think I can live with that. I need something for Link after all.
Out of all the many incarnations of Link his Ocarina of Time incarnation is by far my favorite––and for good reason too. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is what cemented my love for the series, and while I don't follow the series as closely as I once did this game and incarnation of Link will be forever dear to me. I will also admit that Ocarina of Time Link has also been my longest lasting fictional crush. It's kinda embarrassing to think about, eheh. Especially when apparently you talk in your sleep and mention his name a lot, eek! I used to think my sister's friend was fooling me until I was a junior counselor at grade 3-4 camp and ALL MY GIRLS WERE PICKING ON ME ABOUT IT. I am probably forever doomed.
When I was introduced to Akira Himekawa's rendition of Link probably over a decade ago it just made him all the more awesome to me. In the manga Link is actually given a personality (where as in the games he doesn't really have one) which made it easier to understand his thoughts about things, and even to perhaps feel a little sympathetic toward him. Link is also given many of the qualities that I greatly admire in a character which greatly boosts my liking of him, mainly because it's what I try and do within my own life as well. It's little wonder why he is one of my favorites.
Long story short I love Ocarina of Time Link the best because reasons.
